Letter To the Editor
First, WASPs robbed the Cow Creek People of their land, then the destroyed their language and annihilated their culture.
After all of that Commissioner Kittelman complains that the small tax breaks given to the Cow Creeks is an unfair advantage.
This seems the heights of hypocrisy says the writer of a letter to the editor.
Let me see if I understand the history of the relationship between my ethnic group, WASP (white Anglo-Saxon Protestant) and the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians (or in the lingo of Mr. Jaques and his political flunky, Ms. Kittelman, "the Tribe").
First, we robbed them of their land, then we destroyed their language and annihilated their culture.
Now, Commissioner Kittelman complains that the tax break we give them is an unfair advantage.
As they say on the caveman commercial: "Looks like someone got up on the wrong side of the rock."
